They plan to do the whole house refit of the central heating during the same period so the floor boards will be up in every room for at least 2 days, don't know which days they will be yet, so everything boxed up for safety already. Where the boxes are going to go is another issue entirely.
Who would have thought I had so much STUFF in my kitchen, elsewhere I knew I had a lot of stuff. On the positive side it gave me some insentive to de-clutter and a whole lot will be donated to the local charity shop. As for my bear and doll collection, well they're boxed up too, so a lot of work for little old me putting everything back when they've finished. I hope it's all worth it.
Doubt I'll be very creative during the process, plan to sleep a lot, if I can. You never know though, knitting doesn't take up much space so I may just take myself off into the garden (if it doesn't rain). LOL
They offered to put me in a respite residence (a furnished house) but they realised that the only one empty at the moment is on top of the highest hill in Sheffield and they don't feel my wheelchair will get up there man (Son)powered (we don't have a car) so I'm going to just have to live with the mess until it's finished.
The worst part is they will be turning off the electricity intermittently during the whole month so no internet or working on my PC during the day time, I'm thinking my Son will be hogging the laptop!
In the present, selling lots of stuff on ebay, so that's keeping me busy.
Well, back to the grindstone, the last of my kitchen cupboards needs emptying and it's not going to do itself. Early next week we (me and whoever I can coax to help me) will be clearing the outside storage as they plan to put the boiler in there, so will need to do a big de-clutter in there too (anyone want a hand powered pressurised table top washing machine, let me know?).
Hugs to all my friends, wish me luck?
Vic
